Portico Singapore, a modern European establishment serving daring and unusual creations from the Kitchen helmed by Chef Leandros Stagogiannis, formerly from The Fat Duck in the UK and local establishments like FiftyThree and Saint Pierre.

Portico boasts a modern dining room concept with a sun-dappled portico, where you can get a clear view of the sprouting herb garden in the verandah.

Pan-Seared Seabass Fillet, New Potato, Herbed Beurre Blanc and Granny Smith Apple ($27)
Whole-Roasted Baby Coq and Romaine Lettuce, Thyme and Garlic Croutons ($26)
Red Wine Braised Wagyu Beef Cheek and Bourguignon Sauce ($28)

THE DESSERTS
 Manjari H20 Ganache and Sweet Corn Sorbet, Roasted Hazelnuts and Cashew Praline ($18)
White Chocolate and Raspberry Bit Part Ganache and Rhubarb Sorbet ($15)
Black Forest in a Glass, Vanilla Chantilly, Griotine Cherries, Chocolate Brownie, Black Cherry Puree ($13)
Tart Aux Citron and Onion Ice Cream ($16)
Caramelised Pineapple and Chinese Five Spice, Coconut Sorbet ($12)

I strongly recommend the starter and mains - Kombu Soba Noodles, Braised Wagyu Beef Cheek and the Sea Bass Fillet caught from the seas of Pulau Ubin. 

For sweet treats, go for the Manjari H20 Ganache with Sweet Corn Sorbet and the Tart Aux Citron with Onion Ice Cream. 

VERDICT:
You might not feel right at first, looking at the menu offerings with such daring and unusual creations. But trust me, challenge yourself to come and try the food at Portico. I am pretty sure that you will be intrigued, leaving happy and satisfied.
