Presenting to you Beauty In The Pot, the latest dining concept of Paradise Group promoting a whole new health and goodness in the pot. The two-month old hotpot eatery located in OneKM mall opens daily for lunch and dinner, and you will not go hungry looking for supper places as Beauty In The Pot is open till 1am all days and extended up to 3am on Friday and Saturdays, and eve of Public Holiday.

You don't need to worry if it gets crowded, as the restaurant can take up to 132 guests and you will also be amazed by the excellent service at Beauty In The Pot, with the knowledgable and friendly staff immediately explaining the ingredients served and providing recommendations, thus allowing guests to dine like a king.
You can get creative in concocting your own personalised dips at the condiment bar which is stocked with over 8 different sauces and an array of condiments.
Homemade Beauty and Nourishing Soup Bases
The beauty secret actually lies in the soup base. The team of chefs at Beauty In The Pot prepare the soup base and ingredients daily, trusted for freshness and quality while keeping the prices affordable.

There are two nourishing soup bases available - Beauty Collagen Broth and Spicy Nourishing Broth, both at $20 per pot. If you want to try both soup bases, get the Twin Flavours Broth. The two broths come divided in one pot at a comfortable price of $25 (as seen above). The collagen broth is refillable and they offer a free flow of rice if you are wondering.

Chef How and his team spent more than six hours of hard work preparing the broth. The dense and collagen-rich Beauty Collagen Broth is made from shark's cartilage as the main ingredient, while luxurious Chinese herbs including red dates, wolf berries, ginseng, dang gui and dang shen are used to provide an extra boost of immunity and energy.

There are three levels of spiciness to choose from for the Spicy Nourishing Broth, which can be quite intoxicating if you can handle Sichuan chilli oil well. For me, I surrendered on the first try.
Fresh And Quality Ingredients
Select your preferred ingredients to match seamlessly with the soup, ranging from meat (chicken, pork, beef) and seafood (red garoupa $28, fresh sea prawns $26, etc) to vegetables and noodles. Meat lovers should not missed out the US Wagyu Ribeye ($24 full portion) and US Kurobuta Pork ($18 full portion).

If you love meatballs, get the combination platter ($10) which include Soft Bone Pork Meat Ball, Beef Ball and Mushroom Ball. Or try the Assorted Dumplings Platter ($10) and a selection of homemade paste. My favourite dish is the signature Homemade Fish Tofu ($1.80/piece) which is prepared daily from yellowtail fish, soya bean and egg white for the perfect melt-in-the-mouth texture, as well the speciality Ebiko Prawn Paste.
Complimentary Yuzu Freeze presented in a ice box at the end of your meal, which is believed to aid in digestion and clears the oil in the body. The refreshing sorbet drink can also freshen up your palate, you probably can go for another round of dinner.

What I like most about Beauty In The Pot is only not the quality of the broth and ingredients, but also the high service standards of the waitstaff. Price wise, it is mid-range and definitely will not burn a big hole in your wallet.

Atmosphere Bistro is a casual dining bistro nestled amidst the verdant greenscape of East Coast Park's latest development named as Parkland Green. The bistro is built around the concept of seaside dining, providing a relaxing ambience for customers to enjoy the breeze while having a meal or over a glass of wine. In keeping with its slogan (“Two atmosphere, one space”), Atmosphere Bistro caters to families in the day with its bistro offerings, and to an older crowd at night as it transforms into a bar.
Atmosphere Bistro makes up one of the eight dining establishments at the park, the family-friendly bistro operates from 10:00 am over the weekends till late, and they are only open for dinner on the weekdays. The bistro serves up a plethora of Western dishes filed under various kitchen categories. From 12” pizzas and sharing platters to grilled favourites and hearty mains, Atmosphere Bistro’s comprehensive menu leans heavily on well-made classics that are executed with local flair.

A notable mention is their signature dish, Flaming Pizza (featured $22.80). Splashed with generous toppings of prawn, salami, capsicum, and assorted mushrooms, this scrumptious pizza makes for the perfect sharing dish with family and friends.

Whether you’re after a delicious bite to refuel after sweating it out at the park, or simply chilling out with friends at night, Atmosphere Bistro’s smorgasbord of appetisers and snacks promises to hit the spot. Must-tries include Truffle Fries (featured $8.80), which are tossed with truffle oil and grated Parmesan, and Mini Burgers (featured $11.80), a trio of mini burgers with flavourful BBQ glazed grilled patties. Straight from the grill comes an assortment of skewers and grilled eats, such as the succulent Teriyaki sauced-glazed Grilled Squid ($9.80), the mouthwatering Pork Bratwurst ($4.80) or the 70-days grain fed Ribeye steak (featured 25.80). For mains, you can never go wrong with Miso Salmon (featured $18.80) baked Norwegian salmon glazed with miso sauce using the same recipe from Shin-Sapporo Ramen. Pasta lovers can choose from the wide selection of baked rice (Meatball Baked Rice $14.80) and pastas (featured Seafood Aglio Olio $14.80).

But if you’re up for a challenge, bite into Atmosphere Burger ($22.80) – consisting of pork, turkey and chicken patties, this massive triple-stacked burger is definitely not for the faint-hearted (limited servings a day).

Equally impressive is their extensive alcoholic drinks list, which comprises a wide variety of cocktails, beers, spirits, and liqueurs. But if there is one drink that is not to be missed, it has got to be their signature Calpis Kirin Frozen Beer (featured $13.00). It is one of the now-trending frozen beer slushies available at Atmosphere Bistro’s Kirin Frozen Beer range, and makes for the ultimate thirst-quencher to beat the oft-scorching heat in Singapore.
On the non-alcoholic front, diners will also be spoilt for choice with the selection of mocktails, milkshakes (featured Mango Milkshake $9.00) and smoothies available. Caffeine lovers will be surprised to discover cute latte art including 3D art on their coffee (featured Hot Mocha Art $6.60 / Hot Cappuccino 3D $7.00 / Hot Cafe Latte 3D $7.00 / Ice Cafe Latte 3D $8.00).

Korea is beloved for many culinary wonders, and for some unknown reasons you can find countless number of Korean restaurants and bars on the island. I personally think that Joo stands out from the rest with its top notch modern Korean bites and creative drinks hidden within a heritage three-storey shophouse in the heart of Singapore along Tan Quee Lan Street, just minutes away from the busy Bugis Junction and MRT station.

Joo means alcohol in Korean language, and Joo, the bar and restaurant is born by a Singaporean couple Jamie and Kristin Lim who also own and operate EIGHT Korean BBQ and Sticky, an Australian rock candy store in Singapore. The highlight of Joo is its tipple - the signature makgeolli, Singapore's first house-brewed Korean rice wine produced with organic rice, purified water and absolutely preservative-free. You would be surprised to find that Joo serves the makgeolli on tap, which is an unusual concept but it is likely to the delight of makegeolli fans.

Joo takes it seriously starting from the exteriors to the interiors of its space; the funky drinks to the menu, the food and its presentation, you can easily tell that the owners had put in a lot of effort on the details and craft of Joo's concept.
The entrance to Joo is about welcoming you to another dimension, as you will have the temptation to find out what's behind the glass door. As you enter the glass door, you need to get past a few gatekeepers before getting admitted to the bar-restaurant.
The main Joo bar on the ground floor of the shophouse featuring a selection of whiskeys, wines, champagnes as well as bottled Korean beer Hite. Also available on tap are Hofbrau Original ($13/pint) and Hofbrau Dunkel ($15/pint). In case you are wondering, that is Eddy in the picture, Joo's bar manager from Korea, he takes care of all your drinks for the night. There are some seats by the bar, and a couple of smart tables on the main floor.
Along the way leading to the flight of stairs, you traverse through mirrored corridors and a dark hallway with hexagonal copper ceiling lights which appears to be made of Toblerone.

Outdoor seating on the second and third levels is well bathed with natural lighting a wall lined with pretty foliage.

The space in Joo's second and third level exudes a contemporary and laid-back vibe with a touch of glam. Black and copper, crystals, mirrors and artisanal glass products and lots and lots of edgy elements.

Don't be mistaken if you see a beer tap in the washroom, that is actually the handle for the water tap. If you take a closer look, the shape of the tiles on the wall is similar to the conceptualised Joo logo.
Korean drinking culture can be complicated to those new to Korea. If you are drinking with a bunch of Koreans, practicing the culture (learn from the drinking etiquette hand-painted on the wall at Joo) is definitely an experience that is recommended.

JOO - FOOD AND DRINKS
Proudly conceptualised by head chef Kim Chang Heon, the second Korean graduate of the Culinary Institute of America and well-versed in both Korean and western styles of cooking. The menu at Joo promises unique options and presentation styles, as well as alcohol pairings. Chef Kim puts emphasis on homemade ingredients and customers can be assured of authentic flavours.
Banchan often translated as side dishes are an essential part of any Korean meal, these are offered complimentary to the guest at the table.
Baby Eel Paper ($12) - An addictive deep fried snack served with a sprinkling of chilli salt and lime zest.
Tofu Chips With Guacamole and Kimchi Salsa ($12) - This house made platter of hexagon chips is served with an enticing avocado and cucumber-based duo of dips.
Joo Bossam ($28) - The meat is boiled with doenjang (fermented bean paste) and served with yucha-vinegar-pickled cabbage and spicy radish salad. The Warm Kimchi With Tofu and Spam ($14) is one of the typical Anju food that goes well with alcohol.

Slow Roasted Mangalitsa Belly ($32) - 200g of meat is brined with salt, pepper, soju and makgeolli before it is steam-roasted for over 2 hours, then served with a scrumptious side of shredded chives seasoned with chilli flakes and soy sauce.
Hand-Chopped Korean Minced Rib Steak ($20) using tender US prime meat lightly marinated with garlic, soy, honey and yucha, hand-shaped and then flame-grilled.
Kimchi Chicken Potpie ($12) is one of the hearty dishes to tuck into as the cracking the golden pastry dome unearths a rosy kimchi béchamel gravy studded with chicken tenderloin pieces as well as celery, carrot, mushrooms, onion and corn.
Seafood Gochujiang Risotto ($24) entices with lashings of fresh shrimps, mussels, clams and squid sauteed with hot pepper paste, then added to Korean rice that is prepared the traditional way, by gradually adding stock, and finishing with cream as well as parmesan cheese.

A range of soju (distilled Korean rice wine) in bottles along with soju cocktails - Lime Soju Mojito (featured $12 glass / small jug $22 / $36 large jug) and Grape Soju Mojito are made freshly with lime juice or grapes.
Makegeolli is the oldest alcoholic beverage native to Korean. The fermentation and filtering process for producing makegeolli takes two to three weeks, rendering a milky white, subtly sweet and delicately fizzy beverage, and it is popular among young drinkers who enjoy it in hip makgeolli bars.

For Makgeolli newbies, an ideal choice would be the Makgeolli sampler ($35 for 5) that showcases the home brew and four varying creations such as yucha, peach, lychee, strawberry, mango, black raspberry and more.

The cloudy, light bodied and mild-tasting Makgeolli is approximately 6-8% ABV and best served cold. Each bottle is priced at $7 for 150ml (featured), $15 for a carafe (serves two) and $28 for a large bottle (serves four). Beer-lovers who enjoy Bavarian beer can expect Hofbrau Original ($13/pint) and Hofbrau Dunkel ($15/pint) also available on tap. There is a selection of whiskeys, wines, champagnes as well as bottled Korean beer Hite to enjoy.
Sojurita ($28 for two)

A fun alternative is the Yucha Makgeolli Slush (featured $22 small jug / $36 large jug) or Flavoured Makgeolli Slush of the Day (e.g. Mango). Non-alcoholic options such as cold pressed juices ($8), soft drinks and teas are available.
