Harry's New Bar Bites To Try - NEW Outlet at Clarke Quay

If you are at Clarke Quay area, pull up a stool and join Harry's at the bar, where he presents his latest outlet located within the colourful kaleidoscope of buildings.

In addition to the a la carte menu which is full of big flavours from gourmet small plates to hearty big plates, Harry's have just unveiled a selection of tantalising new bites that are quintessentially modern European, non-pretentious and comforting.

The refreshed menu is not a complete departure from the old - Harry's have kept most dishes, like the Harry's beer battered fish & chips, Chicken tandoori skewers, Harry's signature wings, Flatbread and other well-loved signatures.

Harry's want their customers who come for a drink to be able to enjoy amazing food too, so their menu now boasts a more extensive menu that showcases 50 contemporary dishes, complete with helpful beverage pairing tips.

SMALL PLATES

To accompany your favourite ice cold pint, new small plates additions like this addictive Fish Cracklings ($13) will be a perfect choice, featuring crisp-fried fish skin tossed in a proprietary spice mix served with aioli.

Other dishes, such as Chirpy Chips ($14) sprinkled with savoury chicken floss, Sweet Potato Chips ($14) with creamy ranch dip, house-baked Charcoal & Onion Ciabatta ($14) with Imam Bayildi and Harry's own rendition of Chicken & Beef Satay ($18), also do well to pad the stomach for cocktails.

More small plates dishes include the Crab & Potato Cakes ($19 for 6pcs), and Harry's Signature Wings ($13 for 6pcs; $19 for 10pcs)

These golden brown patties packed with the richness of blue swimmer crab meat is offset by the potatoes, featuring a light savoury crunch, served with Sirarcha tomato dip. I love crispy mashed potato cakes, but not in this, the cakes were mushy in the middle.

Best enjoyed with a pint of Harry's Premium Lager, are these crispy wings coated in a secret spice served with house-made chilli jam. The Harry's signature wings had gone through an upgrade from its last version, it's even crispier now. Every bite is absolutely sinful, these wings are certainly must-order.

SHARING PLATTERS

You can enjoy the Crab & Potato Cakes and Harry's Signature Wings among others like the Beer Battered Prawns, Spicy Chicken Sausage, Sweet Potato Chips, Chicken Tandoori Skewers and Fish Cracklings which comprises the best small plates selection - The Harry's Seven ($36), excellent for sharing as a platter.

Alternatively, for a more substantial bite, the trio of Jalapeño Steak Sliders ($13) or the Croque Monsieur Sliders ($13) will probably fit the bill.

The miniature steak sandwich was packed with juicy, succulent beef and sautéed with charred bell peppers and jalapeño cheese sauce. These small packages go great with almost any tipple choice, but I usually prefer the delectable steak on its own or sandwiched as a classic burger.

BIG PLATES

Sharing not your thing? Harry's now dishes up more big plates to please the big foodies, encompassing fresh salads, wholesome pastas to hearty steaks and burgers to satisfy your appetites.

Chicken Masala ($23) is a brilliant curry that makes most people happy. The dish was inspired by Indian-cooking but specially created to suit the local palates. I love the large chunks of boneless chicken breast that made a better contrast between the sauce and meat.

There was a little game-changer in this dish, serving toasted charcoal bread instead of paratha. Actually prefer to have paratha than bread and may suggest the masala dish to be richer and rounder in flavours.

A highly recommended pasta choice is Beef Stroganoff ($22) - slices of grilled beef cooked with penne pasta in a fragrant cream sauce. Seafood pasta lovers can opt for the Crabmeat Spaghettini ($23) featuring al dente pasta tossed with fresh handpicked crabmeat in tomato sauce with pine nuts and fresh cut chillies.

DESSERTS

If you are thinking of skipping the heavy dessert option for something that will make your mouth twinkle, Harry's speciality cocktails, premium house wines and other quality tipples are meant to be enjoyed during or after the meal.

In fact, Harry's has incorporated beverage suggestions throughout the menu to complement the entire dining experience.

You can enjoy the sweet palate profile of a glass of Moscato together with the thinly sliced Toffee Apple Crisp Tart ($14) drizzled with salt caramel and topped with vanilla ice cream or the Sticky Date Toffee Pudding ($14) topped with vanilla ice cream.

Don't worry if you think that the wine pairing will try to out-sweet your desserts, as it will not.

These beverage suggestions have been thoughtfully curated by the team at Harry's, and I'm sure you will be able to find something suitable from the extensive tipple choices.

Already a favourite place for diners to visit owing to its long Happy Hours & promotions, now with an updated menu of mouthwatering additions, Harry's gives guests more food for thought with this new launch.
